About Us

CREATING AN ATMOSPHERE FOR REVIVAL IN CANADA THROUGH CHRISTIAN MEDIA.

Statement of Faith

We Believe:

  • The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.

  • There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

  • In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory.

  • The baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it. In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by who’s indwelling the Christian is able to live a holy and victorious life.

  • Being born again is the only means of being cleansed of sin and receiving the free gift of eternal life is through repentance and faith in the precious shed blood of Jesus Christ and accepting Him as personal Savior and Lord.

Our Story

Dick and Joan Deweert have been in ministry leadership for forty years and are
known nationally for obtaining the first Christian broadcast license in Canada, The Miracle Channel, which continues to the present on national satellite and cable.

They served as pastors of an influential and flourishing church in Lethbridge, AB for 13 years. During their tenure there, they led a campaign to change the Canadian broadcast regulations to permit religious groups to obtain a broadcast license, a policy which came into effect in June of 1993. They were the first to apply for a license under the new regulations and were approved in April 1995. In 1997, they resigned from their pastoral position, to devote themselves to the leadership and expansion of the Miracle Channel across Canada.

For the next decade, Dick and Joan led the Miracle Channel, purchasing a 77,000 square foot broadcast facility, expanding the reach of TMC nationally and internationally, as well as starting a new local church which grew rapidly. In 2007, they resigned from their leadership position at the the Miracle Channel to take a much needed period of rest.

After a few years in private business, Dick and Joan have re-emerged as national leaders starting Third Day Victory Church in 2012, a vibrant and growing church in Lethbridge, and Dominion Media, which is their ministry to the nation through television, conferences and prayer. In March 2015, Dick and Joan launched Lifeline Today with Dick and Joan, a television program on Daystar Canada in prime time across the nation. In the fall of 2023, they were miraculously able to purchase the 20,000 square foot building which they had leased for 6 years, giving Third Day Victory Church and Dominion Media a permanent home!

Dick is known for his visionary gifting and spirit of faith, his heart for restoration and reconciliation, and prophetic ministry. Joan has a prophetic calling which is evident in her love for and leadership in intercessory prayer. Dick and Joan continue to live in Lethbridge where they have two married children and five grown grand children.
